Angela Hargrave

I’ve always loved helping people, and insurance has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Memphis and graduated from Germantown High School, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. While I was in school, I worked in my agent mother’s State Farm office, which gave me early, hands-on experience and a deep appreciation for what it means to truly take care of customers.

After graduating, I moved back to Memphis and decided to pursue a career as a State Farm agent myself. I was approved for agency quickly and opened my doors on April 1, 2003. In 2012, we purchased our current office building in Lakeland, TN, and I couldn’t be happier to serve this community from a place that feels like home. I have over 35 years of experience with State Farm, have received several awards from State Farm, and I’m proud to be a past President of the Memphis Civitan Club. I’m also an active member of my community, both personally and professionally.

Family is at the center of my life. I have a son and a daughter who are active student athletes, and my favorite athletes to watch are still my kids. They’re involved with the Arlington school teams and the Bellevue church league, which keeps us busy and connected to the community we love. When I’m not working or cheering from the sidelines, I enjoy good books, rescue dogs, traveling, football, and basketball. My office is conveniently located in Lakeland, TN, just off Interstate 40 at exit 20, on Canada Rd north of Chick-fil-A, in the little white house with red shutters. I’m proud to say the reason my name is on the sign is because of the talented and caring team inside. Together, we focus on helping people prepare for the unexpected and protect what matters most.
